GREAT KITCHEN. Now can you do anything else?

The transformation started with a kitchen. It ended with a new ground floor. It was a project that fully demonstrated the design, craftsmanship and build quality of Kingsey Furniture & Interiors.

A local Client In conjunction with Lynn Palmer Architects transformed their entire house. This necessitated the whole of the upstairs to be remodelled and an extension to be built downstairs on the site of a former garage.

The extension required a large kitchen and utility room for a family of five which Kingsey Kitchen & Interiors were delighted to design and install.

The stunning kitchen is a fusion of the modern and the traditional. The sleek, ‘touch to open’ cupboards are painted in Inchyra Blue with the tall cupboards in Shadow White. Insets of natural Oak timber provided some relief highlights. One interesting feature is a window that acts as a splash back, with views to a living wall that lets the light flood in.

The customer was so impressed with the kitchen that she asked Kingsey Furniture & Interiors to design and produce furniture for the lounge, playroom and hall. The kitchen was a starting point for the entire ground floor, with the design style and colour scheme carried throughout.

As always with a Kingsey project, the design features some very neat storage solutions.

The built-in furniture for the lounge includes a media wall that houses the TV and further storage including bookshelves that run along one wall. A playroom for the children (that also features a TV) is full of clever storage solutions. The toys can be safely tidied away after use.

The customer also wanted a boot room, but with space already allocated to other parts of the ground floor, Kingsey came up with a great solution.

Using space in the entrance hall, they designed and built cupboards to house the family’s outdoor wear. A place to hide away bulky coats and boots. There is even a built-in seat to make boot removal easier. Ideally located as you enter the house the cupboards include one each for Mum and Dad and three smaller ones (one for each of the children).

The transformation started with a beautiful kitchen. It ended with furniture throughout the whole ground floor. It was a project that fully demonstrated the design, craftsmanship and build quality of Kingsey Furniture & Interiors.
